About the author
Brian Blanchfield is the author, most recently, of Proxies: Essays Near Knowing and A Several World (both Nightboat). The recipient of a Whiting Award in Nonfiction and the James Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets, he lives in Moscow, Idaho, where he directs the MFA Creative Writing Program at the University of Idaho and teaches in the Bennington Writing Seminars.
