Jhumpa Lahiri recently edited The Penguin Book of Italian Short Stories. Her English translation of her novel Dove mi trovo (Whereabouts) will be published by Knopf next year; and her first collection of poems in Italian Il quaderno di Nerina (Guanda) will also be published then. She received the 2000 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction for her story collection Interpreter of Maladies (Mariner) and is the the director of the Program in Creative Writing at Princeton University’s Lewis Center for the Arts.
