Maria Thomas’s fiction has appeared on BBC Radio 4, in the New England Review, Wasafiri, the Masters Review Anthology IV, edited by Roxane Gay, and elsewhere. She is a PhD candidate in creative writing at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her story in this issue was edited by Sarah Blakley-Cartwright.
A Public Space is an independent, non-profit publisher of the award-winning literary and arts magazine; and A Public Space Books. Since 2006, under the direction of founding editor Brigid Hughes the mission of A Public Space has been to seek out and support overlooked and unclassifiable work.
