About the author
Luigi Ghirri (1943–1992) was a photographer. Inspired in part by the Conceptual art of his time, he used his camera to examine the relationship between the physical world and the world of images. “The most important lesson I received from Conceptual art,” he wrote, “consisted in the recording of simple and obvious things, and viewing them under a whole new light.”
