A Public Space co-presents the panel “War and Memory” with Words After War and NYU Cultures of War. Participants include Whitney Terrell, Iraq war reporter and author of The Good Lieutenant (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2016); Scott Anderson, an American novelist, journalist, and war correspondent; and Matt Gallagher, a former U.S. Army captain and author of the novel Youngblood (Atria Books, 2016). Also joining the conversation is Elizabeth Gaffney, APS Editor at Large, whose novel When the World Was Young (Random House, 2014) captures life in Brooklyn after World War II.
