Celebrate the debuts of two APS contributors at WORD Bookstore (Brooklyn) this March. Sara Majka will read from her debut story collection, Cities I’ve Never Lived In (Graywolf Press and A Public Space Books, 2016). Joining her will be Garth Greenwell reading from his debut novel, What Belongs To You (FSG, 2016). Both authors will join in conversation following the reading. Sara Majka

received graduate degrees from Umass-Amherst and Bennington College and was awarded a fellowship at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Her first book, Cities I've Never Lived In, was published by Graywolf Press / A Public Space in 2016. Her stories have previously appeared or are forthcoming in A Public Space, PEN America, Virginia Quarterly Review, and Guernica, among others. She lives in Providence, Rhode Island where she teaches writing at RISD.

Garth Greenwell

is the author of What Belongs to You, which won the British Book Award for Debut of the Year, was longlisted for the National Book Award, and was a finalist for six other awards, including the PEN/Faulkner Award, the James Tait Black Memorial Prize, and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. A New York Times Book Review Editors' Choice, it was named a Best Book of 2016 by over fifty publications in nine countries, and is being translated into fourteen languages.
