Join us as we host Brooklyn-based artist Marie Lorenz, who will land at A Public Space for a presentation of her ongoing project "The Tide and Current Taxi." Lorenz left the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY—where her installation Ezekia was recently on display—on July 1 for a fifty-five day journey down the historic route of the Erie Canal. Past participants in "The Tide and Current Taxi" include event co-host and APS contributing editor Robert Sullivan. (Read about his journey with Lorenz here.)
Marie Lorenz's
work has been exhibited widely, from High Desert Test Sites in Joshua Tree, California, to MoMA PS1 in New York City. For more information, visit her website.
