COCOON by Kate Browne: Book Launch
Thursday, May 18 | 7PM A Public Space, 323 Dean Street, Brooklyn, NY 11217
We are thrilled to host a celebration of COCOON’s recent book, COCOON PARIS Goutte d’Or. The evening will include a Q&A with artist Kate Browne and writer Robert Sullivan. There will be a photo exhibition of COCOON, with photographs by Eric Etheridge; readings from the book; and refreshments. COCOON PARIS Goutte d'Or will be for sale.
Kate Browne's COCOON project is a series of site specific public space sculptures around the world in places that are struggling with traumatic histories. With each COCOON, Kate spends 1–2 years in a community, recording people’s stories and memories. These audio stories are heard inside the 26-foot long, 10-foot high sculptures.
