An Evening With Emerging Writers

Sep
14

Thursday, September 14 | 7:00 pm A Public Space, 323 Dean Street, Brooklyn, NY 11217

A Public Space invites emerging writers to a reading and conversation about what to expect when just starting out on the publication journey. Join APS editors Brigid Hughes and Yiyun Li and APS Emerging Writer Fellows as they discuss working with an editor to prepare a piece for publication; and the opportunities and pitfalls that face new writers. Audience members will have an opportunity to question the behind-the-scenes aspects of the fellowship program, and the ways new writers can find necessary mentoring to take the next steps in their careers.

This is an official 2017 Brooklyn Book Festival event. For more information, please visit the Brooklyn Book Festival website.
