About the author
Art Smith (1917-1982) was born in Cuba. From the mid-1940s until 1979, he crafted jewelry in his Greenwich Village studio and shop in New York City. His work was the subject of the posthumous exhibit From the Village to Vogue at the Brooklyn Museum in 2008.
